Propane is an amazing versatile fuel. So are propane cylinders.
You likely associate propane cylinders with your BBQ grill. But that’s only the beginning of what propane cylinders can do for you. And with propane cylinder refill service at all six of our offices, you’ll always be able to enjoy those benefits.
Let’s start in your backyard.
Propane cylinders can make entertaining, playing, eating, and just hanging out in your back yard more comfortable. You can enjoy being outdoors even when it gets a little chilly with propane deck and patio heaters and propane fireplaces. A propane fire pit creates a warm, comfortable place to gather with friends, make s’mores with the kids, or just relax by yourself with a cup of tea and a good book. You can enjoy your backyard without itching thanks to propane insect traps, which lure mosquitoes away from you and into the trap.
You can use propane cylinders to run portable generators for work outdoors or keeping a couple of appliances on during a power outage. If you want more comfort and security when the power goes out, Parker Gas installs propane whole-house backup generators.
Propane cylinders go on the road with you as well. You can keep warm when camping out with a propane tent heater. Propane cylinders can run grills for tailgating and camp stoves for camping and RVing. Speaking of RVing, propane cylinders can be used for heating, cooking, and refrigeration.
Using propane cylinders is easy, but you need to know how to use and store them safely. Here are some things to know.
NEVER store propane cylinders indoors or in a garage, shed, carport, sunporch, or any enclosed area.
Store propane cylinders outdoors, out of direct sunlight, upright, and on a dry surface. If the ground gets wet, it could cause rusting of the cylinder.
Store propane tanks away from flames and spark-producing tools, including your grill.
When bringing your propane cylinders for refill, keep them upright. Even a cylinder you think is empty can have enough propane to leak if it’s on its side. Don’t leave a cylinder in your car for long. It’s best to go straight to your nearest Parker Gas refill station and go directly home.
